There are many compact varieties of the popular Russian Sage for smaller areas. Highly rated cultivars are 'Rocketman', 'CrazyBlue' and 'Blue Jean Baby'. Will tolerate poor soil. Soil must be well-drained. Cut to ~6" above ground after danger of frost and remove dead and spindly stems. This promotes compact plants and more bloom. Rabbit resistant. Excellent heat resistance, fast growth rate.
