Notes

Slightly taller than the older variety S. 'East Friesland'. Twelve inch flower stalks are burgundy, which heightens the beauty of the violet/purple flowers. Although drought tolerant, plants will repeat bloom more reliably with a small amount of supplemental water during dry summers. Removal of dead flowers will encourage repeat bloom. Plants may be trimmed to basal foliage after blooming if they look untidy. Flowers are attractive to pollinators. Rabbit resistant. Excellent heat resistance, moderate growth rate.
