Pink Gas Plant (Dictamnus albus var. purpurea) may be more drought-tolerant than the white species.
Both have glossy green foliage and a nice shape as well as attractive seed pods. They have a tap root so are not easy to transplant. Caution: skin irritant. Good heat resistance.
